Maintenance & Safety
Storage and Maintenance Methods
Proper storage and maintenance can effectively extend the lifespan of markers and maintain optimal writing performance:
Securely Replace the Cap After Use: After each use, the cap must be replaced immediately. Only when you hear the "click" sound at the junction of the cap and marker body can you confirm it is securely closed. Acrylic ink dries very quickly. If the cap is not tightly secured or the tip is exposed to air for extended periods, the tip will quickly dry and clog, affecting subsequent use. It is recommended to develop the habit of replacing the cap after each use.
Proper Storage Method: Markers should be stored horizontally in a cool, dry place, avoiding high temperatures, direct sunlight, or humid environments. For long-term storage, the marker body can be placed horizontally with the tips facing the same direction to ensure even ink distribution. Avoid storing markers vertically with the tip pointing up or down for extended periods, as this may cause uneven ink flow or ink settling.
Daily Tip Maintenance: If the tip accumulates dust or the pigment dries and clogs, use a damp soft cloth to gently wipe the tip surface to remove residual pigment. Avoid using sharp objects to scrape the tip, as this may damage the tip structure. If the tip is slightly clogged, remove the cap, place the tip downward in clean water for five to ten minutes to soften the ink, then remove it, wipe dry, and re-activate following the activation steps.
Regular Status Inspection: It is recommended to inspect stored markers once every one to two weeks. Open the cap and observe the tip condition. If the tip shows signs of drying or clogging, perform soaking and activation treatment in advance to avoid inability to write when needed.
Safety Precautions
Age Requirements and Supervision: This product is suitable for users aged fourteen years and above. Before use, ensure that users understand basic operating methods and safety guidelines under adult guidance.
Avoid Ingestion: Although this product uses an eco-friendly, non-toxic formula, the ink is not edible. Store the product out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion. If accidentally swallowed, spit it out immediately and rinse the mouth. Seek medical attention if necessary.
Eye Contact Handling: If ink accidentally gets into the eyes during use, immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of clean water for at least fifteen minutes, keeping the eyes open during rinsing. Seek medical attention promptly after rinsing. Do not rub the eyes, as this may cause secondary injury.
Skin Contact Handling: Prolonged ink contact with skin may cause dryness or allergic reactions. It is recommended to keep hands clean and dry during use. If ink gets on the skin, wash with clean water and soap. Individuals with sensitive skin are advised to wear gloves during creation.
Ventilated Environment Use: Although this product has a mild odour, when used in large quantities in enclosed spaces, it is recommended to maintain good ventilation to avoid prolonged inhalation of ink fumes. Poorly ventilated environments may cause slight dizziness or discomfort.
Disposal Instructions: After product use, empty or used markers should be disposed of as recycling requirements. If the marker still contains ink, ensure the cap is tightly secured and dispose of it at hazardous waste collection points, or follow local environmental protection department regulations for proper disposal. Never pour ink directly into drains or the natural environment.
